WHAT'S NEW 13 FEBRUARY 2018 “The Riviera” capsule makes its debut at MIDO Spektre Sunglasses introduces a new addition to its Made in Italy range of products especially for MIDO, the special edition collection “The Riviera”. The limited-edition capsule collection comprises five models inspired by the Sixties, with only 130 copies available per model. The Riviera is a sophisticated line of products, with the glasses’ temples enhanced by red and green leather inserts and 18K gold details, heightening the items’ exclusivity. Founded in 2009 as the brainchild of a very young entrepreneur, Niccolò Pocchini, Spektre ended the year 2017 with an approximate turnover of 4 million euro, of which 70% was made in the foreign market, a constant 15% growth. The 2018 collection is a stand-out, with a boom in sales in the final rush of 2017, particularly in Italy. Annual production is once again 120,000 pairs for both prescription glasses and sunglasses. The eyewear collection’s sales led to such a remarkable percentage growth that the designer was urged to launch a new eyewear line characterised by angular shapes and lightweight frames, manufactured entirely in Italy.
